A spokesman for "Emirates Airlines" said that "after the announcement of positive" Covid-19 "cases in Hong Kong for some of the passengers who traveled on one of our flights, Emirates Airlines has decided to temporarily suspend passenger services from Pakistan, starting at 4 this morning (24 June) (Pakistan Time).

"We are working in coordination with the relevant authorities, and we will take any additional measures that meet the requirements of all parties before we resume our services from Pakistan. As we confirm over and over again, the health and safety of our crew, customers and our communities is always our top priority," the spokesman added in a statement.


He said: "(Emirates Airlines) has put in place a comprehensive set of precautionary measures and measures in every step of the traveler's journey on the ground and in the air, to reduce the risk of infection spreading."

"We are committed to serving our customers in Pakistan, and we are working to resume our services as soon as possible. Meanwhile, Emirates Airlines continues to operate evacuation flights to Pakistan according to the announced schedule, and to operate freight services that support trade and cargo traffic between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates and our network.
