Sharjah announces fresh ban on certain vehicles during fog

Sharjah Police made the announcement about the ban on certain vehicles during foggy weather.

The drivers of trucks and heavy vehicles who continue to drive through the city's roads during foggy conditions are in violation of this new rule and will be subject to a fine of Dirhams 500 and four black points on their license.

The measure arrives from the Sharjah leaders keenness to protect lives and property and enhance emirates's traffic safety.

The Sharjah Police General Command called on drivers of heavy vehicles and trucks to fully adhere to the decision to prevent the movement of this category of vehicles during foggy weather.

The authority urged drivers to take the necessary precautions to achieve their safety as well as that of fellow road users.

A similar ban was announced by Abu Dhabi last month.
