Sharjah Municipality made the announcement on Sunday about the free parking for senior citizens all over the emirate.
The free service will become effective starting from Tuesday, January 19, and is in plan with the emirate's initiative to be an "age-friendly city".
Senior citizens who need to apply for the fre parking service can make the application on the authority's official website: www.shjmun.gov.ae.
The similar service is already available for senior citizens in Dubai and Ajman.
