New Covid-19 DPI Laser test centre Dubai
Four new quick Covid-19 testing centre has been opened in the emirate of Dubai, Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah that will perform laser tests for citizens and residents hoping to enter Abu Dhabi. The UAE's capital requires a Covid-negative test result for residents and guests to enter.

The Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (Seha) on Sunday declared that the new testing centres, two of them are at Dubai's Rashid Port and Al Khawaneej region, direct tests utilizing a DPI laser-based technology that produces results inside five minutes. Currently Four such locations are operational in Abu Dhabi.

Those wishing to get themselves tested should make a booking through Seha's smartphone application. As indicated by authorities, just the individuals who test negative for Covid-19 are given the result that permits them to enter Abu Dhabi within 48 hours from the time of testing.

"In the event that the DPI result requires a candidate to take a PCR test, he/she should take it at a similar place for Dh320," said the officials, also notified that the individual will be advised to remain at home until the test result is issued to him.

6,000 individuals are being tested every day for coronavirus at Dubai-Abu Dhabi border point.

Authorities said that the DPI testing can be done only for those matured over 12 years.

As per the Seha, residents and guests needing to do the laser test must present their original Emirates ID card to authorities at the testing station alongside the QR code for the booking appointment.

Seha's application permits pre-booking of an appointment for an individual or also for a group of three people. A maximum number of five people for a single family including residential maid can also get pre-appointments.

A Covid-negative test result is obligatory to enter Abu Dhabi. The negative test outcomes must be appeared to the officials at the border point through AlHosn application or as an SMS from any medical clinic or screening centre in the UAE subsidiary to the National Screening Program.

The initial quick Covid-19 testing center was opened in July on the Abu Dhabi-Dubai border close to the Ghantoot checkpoint. These facilities have made easy for the drive between Abu Dhabi and different emirates since the time it was started.
