Mosques and places of worship will be reopened across the UAE starting July 1st, with a capacity reduced to 30%. UAE health authorities has already conducted COVID-19 tests for Imams and service workers working at mosques.
Masjids are instructed to impose a 3-meter distance between individuals praying. They should wear face mask and avoid gatherings. The people has to do ablution performed at home.

As a continuation of the precautionary measures, mosques will not be open for Friday prayers. Also, certain mosques located in industrial areas, labor residential areas, shopping malls and public parks will remain closed until further notice.

Dr. Al Dhaheri has urged the public to cooperate by following precautionary measures including social distancing. Children under 12 years old, the elderly as well as individuals with chronic diseases should avoid going to mosques.
