The immigration portal GDRFAD UAE is now providing the service to apply for the reentry permit to residents stuck outside the United Arab Emirates during the COVID-19 pandemic and travel restrictions.

The application is mostly approved very fast and is send by immigration department to email given by you in form. 

You need your visa number starting with 201 and enter Date of Birth and Nationality to continue to the next step.

Next steps:
  1. Select your country of Departure
  2. Select the arrival airport
  3. Click continue to next screen.
  4. Upload Passport copy
  5. Upload visa page of passport
  6. Upload Emirates Id front and back
  7. Upload a colour photo of the applicant
  8. Refer the notes mentioned by the department regarding documents. Notes are available at the end of this post.
  9. Then post the application.
  10. You will get an application number and the same will also be send to your email.
Key points:
  • Dubai Immigration (GDRFA) started processing reentry applications for residents holding a valid Dubai-issued visa and will let you know the response very fast. Valid residence visa includes all residence visas expired after 31st March 2020.
  • Once approved GDRFA issues resident re-entry permit and you will receive it to your email id entered in the application. The permit is valid for 30 days and you can enter Dubai with in the permit validity.
  • Dubai residents arriving to the emirate from abroad has to follow the strict arrival procedures, including covid testing, self quarantine or hotel quarantine instructed by authorities for 14 days, the installation of Al Hosn smartphone tracking app, and adhere to the latest protocols at the time of arrival. 
  • Every passenger arriving in Dubai must fill a complete health declaration form and quarantine undertaking form in addition. Employers or Companies may be required to arrange suitable accommodation to employees if the present accommodation is not suitable for quarantine.

Note: For your safety, the application may be rejected for reasons related to precautionary measures. We look forward to your return, and this procedure does not mean that you will not enter the country.

By submitting I confirm that the submitted data is accurate and truthful. I am also are aware that the uploaded documents will be subject to validation.
There is a chance of the application is rejected, the reasons for this is mostly related to the precautionary safety measures against Covid-19 pandemic. In this case, the residents may re-apply for the reentry permit.
