Coronavirus Dubai to Sharjah Movement Restriction
Dubai: The individuals who work in Dubai and live in the other emirates need to keep on hand their work ID or letter from their company to avoid fines since the timings of the National Sterlisation Program is different over the emirates.

Major General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi, Director of the General Department of Protective Security and Emergency at Dubai Police, said that radars in Dubai have been designed and adjusted to catch individuals disregarding coronavirus movement restrictions and travel between 11pm and 6am.

The other emirates movement restrictions timing are from 8pm to 6am. In view of this, individuals working in Dubai and living in another emirate who may required to return home later than 8pm need to show their work ID or letter gave by their Company on the occasion of stopping by Police or authorities in their emirate of residence.

Sharjah Police also has given an explanation.

Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police - Major General Saif Al Ziri Al Shamsi, clarified that there will be no penalties for employees working in Dubai and living in Sharjah in the event that they happen to get back after working during the National sterilisation programme period.

He said Sharjah Police will set up a system for employees who work in Dubai and live in Sharjah and their work requires returning late.

The individuals who work in Dubai should present either work permit, labour card or other official document to prove that they work in Dubai.

Major General Al Shamsi noted the point that employees who work in Dubai only are secured by this decision. The waiver doesn't have any effect and not apply to the people who are not employed in Dubai. He asked all community persons to follow the rules and precautionary measures set up by officials and avoid violations.
