The new initiative by Dubai government will give away all tourists who arrive in Dubai with a ‘happiness card’.

The announcement of the launch of Al Saada Tourist Card was made on Thursday by General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai. Al Saada is a free discount card that gives tourists for access to a wide area of exclusive privileges, promotions and discounts during their staying in the emirate.

The happiness card will be distributed to all tourists upon their arrival at Dubai International Airport. Major General Mohamed Ahmed Al-Marri, director-general of the GDRFA, launched the discount card at the GITEX Technology Week, 40th edition, in the presence of several other senior Dubai govt. department leaderships.

How to use the new card

  • Scan the barcode using your smartphones and download the ALSAADA Tourist application.
  • Once installed, the app will ask the user to enter their passport number and date of arrival in Dubai in order to generate a smart card under the tourist’s name.

The smartphone application is designed to provide users with access to the all available promotions and discounts offered by card partners of ALSAADA. The virtual Cards will expire when the tourists leave the city, but they will able to get a new one at the time of their next visit to Dubai.

“This initiative was launched as part of the country’s commitment to providing an exceptional experience for visitors,” Al Marrie said.

"The UAE has shown the strength of its travel industry area, the achievement of its plan of action and its capacity to guarantee business progression across different areas. The UAE likewise appreciates a worldwide standing for its wellbeing, security, steadiness, financial development and strategic and computerized infrastructure, all of which join to make it one of the world's most-favored travel and life-style destination."
